Peter Sherry is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and a member of the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals.  He is a graduate of the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage and a 1990 Graduate of Georgetown University.

Peter​ is a 3x Olympic Trials qualifier, 2003 Marine Corps Marathon winner, and former professional runner for Adidas.

 

He coached Cross-Country and Track & Field at Herndon High School for nearly 20 years and is
a member of the Georgetown University Athletic Hall of Fame.​

Massage Techniques

Peter specializes in sports massage and deep tissue work.  He is a proponent of Active Isolated Stretching and has been using and teaching A.I. stretching for over 15 years.  He can incorporate the technique into any session.

Business Career

Peter had been a regular patient of Dr.’s Kulik and McLaughlin before opening his practice within Commonwealth Chiropractic of Reston in 2011. He is also the former owner of Gotta Run Running Shop in Arlington and has been coaching high school track and cross country in Fairfax County since 1996. He is currently an assistant coach at McLean High School Cross Country, Langley Softball, and Great Falls Little League.

Education & Athletic Career

Peter was an All American in track and cross country while at Georgetown.  After graduating he ran professionally for Adidas and the Reebok Enclave Track Club. He competed in the 1992 and 2000 Olympic Trials and qualified for but was injured at the 2004 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials.  He is a member of several U.S. National Teams.​
